About Us
St. Robert Catholic School opened its doors in the fall of 2018 with preschool through Kindergarten. As we continue to grow we will add a grade until we are a fully functioning preschool through 8th grade educational institution.
Offerings
As the first new school to open in the Diocese of Grand Rapids in more than 50 years St. Robert Catholic School offers a faith-filled Catholic environment where students are empowered to become the person God created them to be. Students explore and learn about the world following a STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, Math) curriculum. Students identify problems and investigate ways in which these problems can be solved. They demonstrate understanding and high-level thinking through projects, portfolios, journals, and formal assessments. In the early grades, we offer effective learning to ensure students have excellent reading skills and age-appropriate numeracy. Our Catholic formation includes the intentional teaching of traditional and spontaneous prayer, weekly Mass attendance, Eucharistic adoration, Sacramental preparation, and the study of our Catholic virtues.
Dedication
Our school became a reality through the generosity of a group of dedicated Catholic families and active community members who believe deeply in the value of a Catholic education. With the strong support of Bishop David Walkowiak, this group chose St. Robert of Newminster Parish in Ada as the location for a new school because of the number of young families who are registered parishioners here, and the existence of a vibrant youth faith formation program.
The Parish community offered a very gracious welcome to us as we became a parish school in July 1, 2023! We hope you will join us as we begin this new chapter of our growth!
